Become a Sponsor of The Ultimate Home Improvement New Year Giveaway

I’m looking for sponsors for a contest I’m going to have from 12/1/09 – 12/31/09 with the drawing to be held on January 2, 2010. I think it would be great if we could get several sponsors to donate something to help me make this The Ultimate Home Improvement New Year Giveaway.

I’m looking for the sponsors of this contest to donate something that will help a DIYer with their next home improvement or remodeling project. You may donate anything from gift cards, eBooks, books, tools, services, etc. Any product or service which you think a homeowner will need for their next home improvement or remodeling project. You hold onto your donations until the contest is over. When the contest is over, I will have the winner of your donated prize contact you.

I still need to think about what I’m going to “kick in” but, I think I will donate a combination of my DIY electrical wiring help service, books, tools and probably a gift card. I’m not 100% certain yet, but I will have it figured out by December 1.

I plan to promote this contest with a press release, email my list, ReTweet_Central (over 21,000 followers), Sponsored tweets, Tweet about it, add it to my twitter page backgrounds, facebook, Blog catalog, my bloglog, all of the major sweepstakes directories, adgitize, project wonderful and word of mouth. Part of the registration will be to tweet something about this contest in hopes that this will go viral across Twitter.

Everyone that becomes a sponsor of this contest will receive a link back to their site from this site. I will also provide a paragraph about the service or product that you offer and the prize that you donate. I’m sure I’ll do some tweeting about each sponsor as well. This is a great opportunity for every sponsor to get their product or service in front of several do-it-yourselfers.
